DayLite History
The family-owned DayLite has had electricity in its veins for three generations.

Tim, Richard and Ray Walworth.
The Walworth family got its start with electricity through the ownership of a generator plant back in Pawpaw, Illinois. The son of that family, Richard Ray Walworth, came out to Santa Ana, California, in the early 1960s and saw the opportunity to providing lighting for the booming mall market. He started DayLite in 1962. When he retired in the early 1980s, son Richard Timothy “TimĀ” Walworth took over.
Tim grew up in the family business, with his father at the helm and his mother right by his side. Mom ran the office, Dad ran the yard. Tim joined up right out of high school and has loved it ever since. And it’s certainly not going to end with Tim, because his son Ray Edward is now a service technician learning to be a manager.
Treating their customers like one of the family is natural to the Walworths, because family has been the backbone of the business since day one.
